Hansen McCown

Hansen McCown is an Associate Advisor at The Welch Group, where he supports the advisory team in analyzing clients’ financial situations and developing personalized plans to help them achieve their goals. However, what Hansen is most grateful for about his role with the firm is the opportunity to help people every day.

Before joining The Welch Group in 2025, Hansen gained valuable experience at another registered investment advisory firm in the Birmingham area. His familiarity with financial planning processes and client service has provided him with a strong foundation for his current position.

Transitioning to a firm that emphasizes a team-oriented approach was a natural move for Hansen, as being part of a team has always been a significant aspect of his life. From 2020 to 2024, Hansen was a member of the Birmingham-Southern College baseball team, where he earned recognition as an All-American, was named SAA Pitcher of the Year, and contributed to the team’s historic run to the College World Series during the college’s final season. He stays connected to the sport by coaching travel baseball with the 33s Baseball Club.

In his free time, when he is not working or coaching baseball, Hansen enjoys golfing, playing pickleball, and spending time with family and friends.
