Cory Reamer
CFP® — Advisor
After making a decision to change careers, Cory Reamer became an Advisor with The Welch Group in 2024. Since joining the firm, he has developed a genuine appreciation for spending time with clients, listening to their stories, and understanding their values. Every client is unique, which means that no two conversations or meetings are ever the same. This variety keeps his work meaningful and engaging.
Prior to his role at The Welch Group, Cory spent thirteen years in institutional fixed income sales and trading. During that time, he helped banks manage asset/liability risk and construct fixed income portfolios in changing rate environments. His background has helped shape his approach to financial advising. Today, Cory brings an institutional and risk-aware mindset to his work with small business owners and individuals, helping them make informed investment decisions, manage volatility, and align their balance sheets with long-term goals instead of chasing short-term market fluctuations.
What ultimately drew Cory to financial advising was the opportunity to listen to clients’ goals, concerns, and fears, and then helping bring clarity to what so many people find overwhelming. It’s incredibly rewarding to collaborate on a thoughtful game plan that can address their concerns and empower them to move forward with more confidence.
Some of Cory’s favorite things to do outside of work include spending quality time with his family, staying active, coaching his kids and their teams in youth sports, playing golf, and taking trips to the lake as often as possible.
